winter months can present many challenges for your vehicle. while modern vehicles are designed to handle inclement weather conditions, there are some basic steps we have to take as the days get shorter and the temperature drops.

on hoist

  • Check Brake and Shocks (pads, lines, booster function, discs, internal leaks, and pulling)
  • check tires (include spare,jack and wheel wrench)
  • check drive line (u-Joints, hanger bearing, transmission operation, motor & transmission mounts, diff. mounting & suspension bushing)
  • check for fluid leaks
  • check handbrake operation (cable & holding power)
  • check for corrosion relating to structural strength
  • check suspension (front & rear)
  • check all lights, including dash, courtesy, 4-way, brake etc.
  • check for front & rear wipers & washers, aim as necessary
  • check for horn, exhaust, seat belts and rear demist
  • check for condition of mirrors & glass
  • check jack points & fuel pump mounts
  • check t & d oils if applicable
  • change oil & filter
  • Note: Installation of New Frost Shields, Rear Demist & Battery Clamps Are Extra

body

  • instal gas line anti-freeze
  • lube door locks, door hinges, trunk & hood hinges, door & trunk rubbers
  • check heater function (defrost, coolant, leaks, etc.)
  • check heater re-circulation flap
  • check for & instal winter front (if requested or supplied)
  • check for frost shields as necessary on vehicles so equipped
  • check for snow tires to instal

under hood

  • scope check & report
  • check all belts & hoses
  • check charging system
  • service battery (level, strength, clean off surface corrosion, clean clamps & posts, coat posts with corrosion and condition))
  • check anti-freeze strength and condition
  • check re last rad flush (2 year maximum)
  • check windshield washer container & fill if necessary
  • check block heater (OHM’s, leakage, electrical & fluid)
